Initial planning - choosing an artist!

The most important part of this whole production, would be what artist to use, as this would be core to what all the products would end up being like! we worked in groups of 3,4 and in my case a group of two! me and rimsha, together we would start a project in which we would create digi-paks, CD covers, A music video, a website homepage for an unsigned record artist! so its probably the most realeast coursework assignment we've ever done! and alot of it will prepare us for section A of our A2 media exam in summer!

As said, the first thing to do in this production would be to pick an unsigned record artist! so we both got our heads together and started thinking, and our artists we're as follows:

DJ Gurpz - unsigned bhangra DJ from ilford,

Kingsta - unsigned Grime artist from ilford,

Dj Vikz - usigned dubstep artist from ilford,

...after ALOT of thinking, and extra pre-planning, we concluded that we should use Kingsta as our artist as he's Rimsha's cousin, so getting hold of him would be easy, and his genre is Grime, so...because we're a couple of Ilford teens, we would know some Genre conventions of this music type already which we could incorporate into our productions!

So our production was to be based around a Grime artist from ilford, called Kingsta!
