Above is my drawn image for my website! it just has what i thought should be the initial concept for the website, for me to work around:
1) i chose to do it landscape instead of portrait
2) i chose to have an edited image of docklands as the main image because i've seen MANY pictures of edited city skylines in my website research into grime artists
3) i chose to have the tabs colour co-ordinated with the picture to make it aesthetically pleasing
4) i kept it simple because most grime websites are VERY simple, like JME's one, most the content is in the video itself! and i wanted to keep all focus on Kingsta's productions instead of the website!
here's the feedback i got on the website from my target audience and the artist himself!
"its rubbish! it don't look grimey at all! where's his name"
"why hasn't it got a picture of him"
"so what if its only a website! its still important!"
"get a track icon thingy in it"
"where is the image of him!"
"it looks nothing like the digipak"
"there's no elements of the video in it"
"it doesn't go with everything else"
"there's NOTHING on the homepage"
"it looks SH*T"
"change it...the tabs are about the only thing thats good"
"the tabs are good..change everything else
"get his name in! and a picture"
"its gotta look like your digipak"
ARTIST: ahh..this is rubbish! change it! keep the tabs and the main layout, jus change the centre image! come back with another draft!
